Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team and lead the financial strategy and operations of our organization. The CFO will play a crucial role in driving financial performance, strategic planning, and ensuring the long-term financial health and sustainability of Paul Bunyan Communications. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives and long-term sustainability. 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, overseeing all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls. 
  • Collaborate with other executives and department heads to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, and operational efficiency. 
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, consultants, customers, and regulatory agencies. 
  • Monitor key financial metrics, assess risks, and implement appropriate measures to mitigate financial exposure. 
  • Drive financial analysis and decision-making to support strategic initiatives, investment opportunities, and capital allocation. 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's financial performance. 
  • Work with the CEO to directly interact with the Board of Directors by presenting monthly financials, annual budget and strategic planning reports, and any other subjects that may need to be relayed to the Board. 
  • Provide oversight of Human Resource functions including insurance, payroll and related liabilities and overall company policies and procedures 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred, but not required. 
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership position. 
  • Strong financial acumen with a proven track record of driving financial performance and implementing strategic initiatives. 
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex issues, develop creative solutions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry or a similar field is highly desirable.
