Job Description
This position is responsible for performing installation, repair, maintenance of telecommunication equipment in subscriber premises. This position may be required to perform a variety of other duties as assigned in addition to those listed below.
- Perform installation duties without direct supervision, such as protectors, inside wiring, phones, routers, modems, and misc signal enhancement technology devices.
- Knowledge of computers, printers, security systems, smart homes, and other IOT devices.
- Splice cable from a circuit schematic and update records as needed.
- Maintenance/Troubleshooting of cable plant for emergency restorations, cut-overs, and installations.
- Locate buried cable and assist contractors/excavators in the event cables are non-locatable.
- Operate machinery and towing trailers safely.
- Installation and troubleshooting of POTS and DSL/Ethernet services.
- CO operations that include but not limited to: run jumpers, replace/reboot failed equipment, monitor DC power systems, and restore AC power system with generator.
- Work on analog and digital subscriber equipment and aids Network with special circuits.
