On Thursday, March 17, 2016, Mike Romano and Brian Ford on behalf of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, along with Patricia Cave, Derrick Owens, and Gerry Duffy on behalf of WTA – Advocates for Rural Broadband met with Gigi Sohn, Counselor to Chairman Tom Wheeler, Stephanie Weiner, Senior Legal Advisor to Chairman Tom Wheeler, Trent Harkrader, Wireline Competition Bureau Associate Bureau Chief, and Eric Feigenbaum, Office of Media Relations. The parties discussed the Universal Service Fund (“USF”) Lifeline modernization Order reportedly under consideration by the Federal Communications Commission.
