On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, Michael Romano, Senior Vice President-Industry Affairs & Business Development, on behalf of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association (“NTCA”), held separate telephone conversations with Amy Bender, legal advisor to Commissioner Michael O’Rielly, and Victoria Goldberg of the Wireline Competition Bureau. On Wednesday, March 10, 2017, the undersigned held separate telephone conversations with Ms. Bender again and with Claude Aiken, legal advisor to Commissioner Mignon Clyburn.
During these conversations, NTCA expressed positions with respect to the rate floor policy, operating expense cap revisions, imputation of Access Recovery Charges, competitive overlap policy implementation, and expenses recoverable via universal service consistent with recent prior advocacy on these specific issues.
