On June 11, 2015, NTCA—The Rural Broadband Association (“NTCA”), submitted a letter expressing its concern with respect to the recent announcement that the Federal Communications Commission (the “Commission”) will consider a Report and Order at the upcoming June 18, 2015 meeting to allow direct access to numbering resources for non-carrier interconnected Voice over Internet Protocol (“IVoIP”) providers.  NTCA urges the Commission to reconsider this decision given the adverse legal and practical implications of providing such direct access to non-carriers.
