On Monday, June 27, 2016, Brian Ford and Jill Canfield, on behalf of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, met with Robin Colwell, Chief of Staff and Senior Legal Advisor, Media to Commissioner Michael O’Rielly. The parties discussed the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in which the Commission requested comments on how to create a commercial market for set-top boxes manufactured by third parties that can access multichannel video programming and other services offered over multichannel video programming (“MVPD”) networks.
