On Wednesday, November 2, 2016, Brian Ford, Senior Regulatory Counsel, on behalf of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association along with Patricia Cave and Derrick Owens on behalf of WTA – Advocates for Rural Broadband (the “Rural Associations”) met with Stephanie Weiner and Lisa Hone with the Office of Chairman Tom Wheeler as well as Trent Harkrader, Wireline Competition Bureau Associate Bureau Chief and Ryan Palmer, Chief of the Wireline Competition Bureau’s Telecommunications Access Policy Division. The parties discussed the Petition for Reconsideration (“Petition”) filed by the Rural Associations on June 23, 2016 in response to the Lifeline Universal Service Fund (“USF”) Modernization Order adopted in this proceeding in March 2016 as well as issues raised in the Rural Associations’ Petition for Temporary Waiver filed in this proceeding.
