(Feb 22) In a meeting with FCC staff, NTCA, Wabash Communications and Transnexus stated that the agency has a statutory obligation to mandate use of non-IP authentication standards absent creating rules to promote IP voice traffic exchange. Each would ensure call authentication across the nation, even as the interconnection approach is the best option for all parties involved.
