On February 7, 2019, NTCA joined with twenty-four associations in a White House letter requesting that the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) work with industry groups to strengthen the cybersecurity of the Internet of Things (IoT). The letter mentioned the success of NIST and multiple stakeholders in working to develop the Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity.
