(May 4) In a meeting with the FCC, NTCA continued the discussion on CAF-BLS and HCLS mechanism by advocating for a recalculation of the existing formulas and to provide a voluntary option for more CAF-BLS and HCLS stable support in exchange for commitment to deliver 100/20Mbps. NTCA emphasized the need for the FCC to employ engineering-backed assessments to ensure universal service will be achieved and sustained.
