(June 17) In a meeting with FCC staff, NTCA discussed the role of the USF in terms of both getting and keeping rural Americans connected. NTCA further noted that even as the grant funding made available in recent years is likely to prove critical in helping to close the “availability gap,” these grants will neither override nor replace the distinct and essential mission of the USF programs.
