(May 5) In a meeting with staff to Commissioner Starks, NTCA expressed support for the grant of a waiver by the FCC of the reduction in Connect America Fund Broadband Loop Support and/or High-Cost Loop Support poised to take effect on July 1, 2022. NTCA stated that since the conditions for the prior waiver in 2021 still apply in 2022 and that with changes to the marketplace since that time, it only further underscores the need and justification for relief this year.
