On December 6, 2018, NTCA Chief Executive Officer, Shirley Bloomfield spoke with FCC Commissioner Michael O'Rielly, Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel and Commissioner Brendan Carr to express support for the draft order in respect to the universal service fund (USF). NTCA mentioned the draft order as currently written would take substantial steps toward the fulfillment of statutory mandates with respect to predictability and promote the effectiveness of existing USF support mechanisms.
