NTCA Calls on FCC to Require Accountability When Establishing Emergency Broadband Benefit Eligibility for Both Providers and Consumers

(Jan. 25) In comments regarding the criteria broadband providers and consumers should meet to participate in the Emergency Broadband Benefit program (“EBB”), NTCA asserted the FCC can and should adopt provider participation rules that are administratively simple and that safeguard the use of limited funding.  To achieve this outcome, NTCA recommended the FCC leverage the National Lifeline Verifier (“Verifier”) and the National Lifeline Accountability Database (“NLAD”) to the greatest extent possible.
