NTCA Comments on the State of Competition in the Communications Marketplace

(Jul 1) In the FCC’s annual State of Competition in the Communications Marketplace proceeding, NTCA pointed to permitting and supply chain delays that hamper the deployment of broadband service in rural markets.  NTCA also noted that developing rules that require entities to provide real world demonstrations of their technical, financial, and operational capability to offer broadband service in deeply rural markets will better balance the objectives of promoting competition and ensuring universal service.
