(Feb 23) In comments filed with the FCC, NTCA supports a Petition filed by the Alaska Telecom Association (“ATA”) urging the FCC to update and extend the Alaska Plan and CAF Phase II high-cost support for fixed and mobile carriers serving the state of Alaska. NTCA encouraged the FCC to provide ongoing high-cost support to leverage and build upon the progress of carriers who have demonstrated a commitment to deliver and maintain quality, affordable Internet access in Alaska and enable those carriers to continue to keep pace with evolving consumer demand for years to come.
