(Aug 30) In reply comments filed at the FCC, NTCA proposed that the agency’s rules on network outage notifications to Public Safety Answering Point (“PSAP”) recognize the limited staff resources of small, rural providers. These rules should be based on each operator’s reasonable best efforts, and they should further allow PSAPs and local government agencies to take the lead on consumer facing notifications in coordination with carriers.
