(Apr 25) In comments filed with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), NTCA recommended NIST maintain the voluntary nature of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework as well as the Framework’s ability to be adapted to the specific needs and resources of each company. In order to make the Framework more useful to small and mid-sized providers, NTCA also recommended NIST provide learning tools/guides tailored to smaller providers and work with NTCA and other organizations to increase awareness of the learning tools/guides.
