NTCA Reiterates the Need to Consider the Universal Service Implications of a NG911 Petition for Rulemaking

(Feb 4) In reply comments filed in response to a petition seeking a rulemaking on the delivery of NG 911 traffic, NTCA reiterated the need for the FCC to account for significant new transport costs that could be absorbed by small, rural customer bases.  NTCA also noted that other parties correctly assert that the petitioner fails to demonstrate why the action it seeks is even necessary to further the NG911 transition.
