(Nov 22) NTCA reiterated in comments its support for a uniform standard to address privacy concerns that may exist with respect to broadband entities, and stated that the Federal Trade Commission should be the sole source of authority on this issue. NTCA further recommended that the FTC first consider premising privacy regulation on deferral to voluntary standards, which would enable timely responses to an evolving marketplace.
