(Oct 3) In comments filed with the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, NTCA discussed the importance of granting Middle Mile Grant Program awardees a limited exemption from application of the Buy America Preference as applied to limited classes of manufactured products and construction materials. NTCA expressed support for the goals of increasing domestic production, while also pointing to the current gaps in the domestic manufacturing base that, in turn, can be seen in the current state of telecommunications and broadband supply chains.
