Data Shows How NTCA Members Lead the Charge

I have so many priorities and “to dos” on my list following an engaging and timely NTCA 2023 Fall Conference last week in Boston. At the top of my list is working with NTCA’s membership to use our own industry data to push the right public policy outcomes along. Now more than ever, our efforts to collect data on the broadband industry is driving a narrative with policymakers to ensure the continued advancement of our goals.

(Yes, this means we’re asking for you to share some information with us. But I can assure you that your responses to this survey in particular will bring about results that you can use to better your efforts, our efforts and the collective industry efforts).

Look no further than last year’s Broadband/Internet Availability Survey Report, which was a huge tool in setting the community-based broadband community apart from others in this industry. For example, last year’s results showed that 82 percent of NTCA member customers had access to fiber to the home technology. That is a jaw-dropping statistic, and it’s one that I regularly use with policymakers to differentiate the services NTCA members provide in rural America when compared to national providers. It tells the story, using data, of how focused on service our member providers are for their consumers and communities.

At a time where so much state and federal support is flowing for broadband deployment, your participation in our 2023 survey will enable us to showcase how essential NTCA members are to getting the job done for your communities. It will also highlight how valuable you are as key community partners due to your spirit of service and vast deployment experience, making you critical players in any additional funding coming down the pike.

The survey is live, and we have extended the deadline for completion to October 19. We are only doing this once – there will be no more extensions – so please, please help us tell your story. Click here to complete the 2023 Broadband/Internet Availability Survey.

My most sincere thanks and appreciation in advance.
