Arlington, Va., (February 19, 2014) – Terry Force, president of Blue Valley Tele-Communications (Home, Kan.), was re-elected president of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association at the Rural Telecom Industry Meeting & EXPO in San Antonio, Texas.
Force has served on the board of directors for Blue Valley Tele-Communications since 1990. He also has represented NTCA’s Region 7 on the association’s board of directors for eight years, and is a past member of the board of directors for the Foundation for Rural Service.
“It is a true honor to continue my service to NTCA,” said Force. “At this pivotal time for the telecommunications industry I am hopeful that the association can continue to help make meaningful change.”
The NTCA board also re-elected Donald D. Miller, chief executive officer of Northwest Telephone Cooperative Association (Havelock, Iowa), as vice president (Region 5) and Ronald Laudner Jr., president and chief executive officer of OmniTel Communications (Nora Springs, Iowa) as secretary/treasurer (Region 5). Don Richards of Richards, Elder & Green, LLP (Lubbock, Texas) was also re-elected general counsel.
J. Frederick Johnson, executive vice president and general manager of Farmers Telecommunications Cooperative (Rainsville, Ala.) was elected to serve Region 3.
Douglas Allen Boone, chief executive officer of Premier Communications (Sioux Center, Iowa, Region 5) and James Dauby, chief executive officer of PSC (St. Meinrad, Ind., Region 4), were elected to serve as non-officer members on the Executive Committee.

(Staunton, Va., Region 1); Larry Windham, director of Progressive Rural Telephone Cooperative (Glenwood, Ga., Region 2); Robert DeBroux, director of federal affairs and public policy for TDS Telecom (Madison, Wis., Region 5); Paul Schuetzler, general manager of Consolidated Telcom (Dickinson, N.D., Region 6); Loren Duerksen, director of operations for Diller Telephone Company (Diller, Neb., Region 7); Tom Young, manager of Kingdom Telephone Co. (Auxvasse, Mo., Region 8); Mitchell A. Moore, president of Clear Creek Mutual Telephone Company (Oregon City, Ore., Region 9); Godfrey Enjady, president and general manager of Mescalero Apache Telecom (Mescalero, N.M., Region 10) and Sandy Vandevender, chief executive officer of Five Area Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (Muleshoe, Texas, Region 10).
The Services Management Corporation also elected new board officers in San Antonio. Scott Sherman, general manager of Hardy Telecommunications, Inc. (Lost River, W.Va.) was elected chairman; Mary Hill, president of 3 Rivers Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (Fairfield, Mont.) was elected vice-chair; and Jason Dandridge, chief executive officer of Palmetto Rural Telephone Cooperative (Walterboro, S.C.) was elected secretary-treasurer.
