Arlington, Va. (July 31, 2015)—NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association today issued the following statement from Chief Executive Officer Shirley Bloomfield regarding the 40% tax on employee health benefits—the so-called “Cadillac tax”:

“Meaningful benefits help small businesses and companies like those NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association represents attract and retain qualified employees in rural America. Providing valued benefits to any workforce is already a challenge—and even more so in remote rural communities. NTCA urges legislators to take swift action to repeal the 40% excise tax to ensure that rural Americans continue to have access to affordable employer-sponsored health coverage.”
