Jessica Golden Named FRS Executive Director

Arlington, Va. (August 4, 2015)—The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) is pleased to announce that Jessica Golden has been named executive director and will oversee the foundation’s initiatives. 

Prior to her appointment to FRS, Golden served as strategic outreach manager for NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association and led the association’s first, targeted outreach initiative to develop strategic relationships with national organizations in education, health care, public safety, small business and agriculture. She also served as a Congressional staffer for Rep. Kurt Schrader (D–Ore.). 

“Jessica has played an integral role in expanding NTCA’s strategic relationships with those entities committed to improving life in rural America and has proven that she is a team player, committed to the association’s members and to rural America,” said Shirley Bloomfield, NTCA chief executive officer. “We are thrilled to welcome her into this new role.” 

Golden earned a Bachelor of the Arts and Sciences and Latin American Studies from the University of Virginia. She also serves as a board member for the National Rural Economic Developers Association.
