Arlington, Va. (September 12, 2016)—During the month of September, NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association will participate in two high-profile national publications focused on rural infrastructure needs and the competitiveness of rural America.

Site Selection Magazine

In support of the Smart Rural Community initiative and ongoing efforts to seek business development opportunities for our members, NTCA has a full-page ad in the September issue of Site Selection magazine, a publication sent to leading site selection experts such as corporate real estate executives and facility planners, and industry consultants to corporations. The ad highlights telecom providers in NTCA’s membership that have achieved the Smart Rural Community designation and is displayed in print and digital alongside the story, “The Rural Advantage,” focused on the opportunities available for site selection in rural communities thanks to cutting-edge technologies. NTCA’s ad is on the inside front cover.

Agri-Pulse Special Infrastructure Series

Starting today, Agri-Pulse, a Washington, D.C., trade publication focused on the agricultural industry, will publish a special editorial series, “Keeping Rural America Competitive,” co-sponsored by NTCA and several other rural interest organizations. The seven-part series will highlight the challenges and impact of infrastructure in rural America, including broadband deployment.

The series is a follow-up to the Rural Infrastructure Summit held on August 29 in Ames, Iowa, an event that drew a wide variety of rural stakeholders and featured NTCA President Doug Boone on the panel, “Rural Infrastructure and the Ag Economy: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” The summit was sponsored by NTCA and hosted by Agri-Pulse and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. Highlights from the event are available on Agri-Pulse.com
