Arlington, Va. (March 7, 2017)— NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association today applauded the renomination by President Donald Trump of FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai for another five-year term.

“NTCA is delighted that President Trump has nominated Chairman Ajit Pai to serve a second term on the Federal Communications Commission, and we hope the United States Senate will consider and confirm his nomination as swiftly as possible” said NTCA Chief Executive Officer Shirley Bloomfield.

“Since joining the commission, and in the short time he has served in his current role, Chairman Pai has shown a consistent commitment to addressing consumer needs for broadband in rural America, removing barriers to investment, and reducing small business burdens. NTCA is eager to continue working with Chairman Pai and his colleagues, Commissioners Mignon Clyburn and Michael O’Rielly, on advancing our nation’s broadband goals.”
