(November 8, 2017)—NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association today issued the following statement from Chief Executive Officer Shirley Bloomfield in response to the Senate’s confirmation of David Redl to serve as assistant secretary for Communications & Information at the Department of Commerce and administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA):
“NTCA applauds the confirmation of David Redl to serve as NTIA Administrator. David’s deep understanding of communications policy and his background in both the private sector and on Capitol Hill will serve him and the NTIA well while he is at the helm. We are excited to continue working with him and NTIA staff to ensure that all Americans can enjoy the benefits of robust communications networks.”
