- Shirley Bloomfield Talks to RFD-TV About Rural Broadband
RFD-TV, a TV channel devoted to rural issues, recently interviewed NTCA CEO Shirley Bloomfield for a news segment about the inclusion of broadband as a priority in the new administration's infrastructure plan. Bloomfield discussed challenges associated with making sustainable broadband available and affordable in rural areas. The interview aired on RFD-TV on Wednesday, June 7, and is available online.

NTCA has long advocated that basic "rules of the road" are needed to ensure an open internet. In an op-ed published this week by Morning Consult, Bloomfield focused on the practical concerns rural broadband providers face in ensuring open access for their customers.
- FCC Chairman Ajit Pai visits NTCA member companies
FCC Chairman Ajit Pai has been on the road this week visiting rural communities across the upper Midwest and norther Plains states learning about challenges rural broadband providers face and discussing how the FCC can help. Local news outlets have been reporting on his visits, including the Sioux City Journal in Sioux City, Iowa. Members can follow Chairman Pai's travels on his twitter account.
