Arlington, Va., (December 14, 2020)—NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association issued the following statement from Chief Executive Officer Shirley Bloomfield on the departure of Commissioner Michael O’Rielly from the FCC:
“NTCA and its members wish Commissioner O’Rielly the best in his future endeavors. Commissioner O’Rielly was key in some of the foundational discussions regarding the evolution of universal service policy, and I appreciated how hard he worked to understand and attempt to address various stakeholders’ perspectives in reaching his decisions. Commissioner O’Rielly has been a true public servant, and we thank him for his work on the commission.”
