Arlington, Va., (May 4, 2021)—NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association and the Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) will host the virtual roundtable “#FiberDelivers: Building Big and Bold Broadband Infrastructure” on Wednesday, May 12, at 10:30 a.m. EDT as part of United for Infrastructure 2021, a week-long event that advocates for better infrastructure policy and greater investment from all levels of government.

With a once-in-a-generation infrastructure opportunity ahead of us, now is the time to aim higher, do better and invest in technology built to last. For broadband, in many cases that means fiber. Fiber delivers not just what we need today but also holds promise for what will be needed in the future, as more Americans engage in teleworking, remote learning and telehealth, and as our country pursues 5G superiority.

Now in its ninth year, United for Infrastructure brings together diverse voices advocating for infrastructure that can jumpstart the economy through strategic stimulus and enable people to work and learn remotely. From May 10-14, the nonprofit and 500 affiliates nationwide will host events, speak out in the press, and share their stories on social media to highlight the critical role infrastructure plays in our daily lives, economy, jobs, public health, and national security.

The roundtable is open to the public, and media will have the chance to ask questions. Details can be found below:
