NTCA and NRTC Announce Collaboration on Mobile Virtual Network Solution

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association and NRTC today announced a new collaboration under which NRTC will offer a special mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) solution exclusively to NTCA members.

Under this arrangement, NTCA members have exclusive access to special financing for devices, an activation credit for new mobile subscribers and marketing support to promote their bundled offering and drive subscribers. Up-front business start-up fees are also waived for NTCA members.

In addition to the financial support designed to help drive business success, NRTC will offer NTCA members access to provisioning, billing, ecommerce, customer and logistics support services that will make it easier to add a mobile offering to their existing suite of services – either as part of a bundle or as a stand-alone service.

“For years, NTCA and NRTC have worked closely together to support our shared members as they provide valuable services to connect their communities,” said NTCA CEO Shirley Bloomfield. “I’m so excited to deepen our relationship – and strengthen our support for members – through this collaboration.”

“NTCA and our telephone members know the value of mobile services, and NRTC’s mission is to make these solutions available to them,” said Tim Bryan, CEO of NRTC. “We’re thrilled to work with NTCA to offer a mobile offering that’s turnkey and financially viable for members to implement and operate, enables them to expand their service offerings, and strengthens their brand.”

Bloomfield and Bryan announced the initiative during a webinar for NTCA members today. For more information, contact a member of NRTC’s Mobile Solutions team at [email protected]
