In the Matter of Rural Call Completion, WC Docket Number 13-39
On Monday, February 2, 2014, Jill Canfield, Vice President of Legal and Industry and Assistant General Counsel, representing NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, Colin Sandy from the National Exchange Carriers Association, and Eric Keber from WTA - Advocates for Rural Broadband (collectively, the “Rural Representatives”) met with the following representatives of the Federal Communications Commission (the “Commission”): Margaret Dailey, Vickie Robinson, Jeff Gee, John Visclosky, Richard Hovey, Randy Clarke and Martha Heller. The Rural Representatives explained that telephone calls continue to fail to reach rural areas at an alarming rate.
