(May 30) In an ex parte meeting with the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau staff, NTCA asked that a rulemaking intended to advance the transition to NG911 seek a full and complete record with respect to significant new transport costs that could be absorbed by small, rural customer bases. NTCA proposed amendments to the rulemaking notice and emphasized its support for this transition but that also limits new costs to small operators.
