(Dec 1) In light of the burdens that NTCA members will face in meeting the December 31, 2021 start date for the ACP, association staff urged the FCC to clarify as soon as possible that providers can safely following existing Emergency Broadband Benefit program rules and processes and will not be penalized for practices that deviate slightly once the ACP’s final rules are issued. NTCA also stated that any consumer consent to enrollment in the ACP should be “opt-out” only.
