NTCA Asks the FCC to Simplify Providers’ and Consumers’ Transition to the New Affordable Connectivity Program

(Dec. 8) In comments filed with the FCC, NTCA stated that the agency should minimize the challenges providers and consumers will face as the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program transitions to the new Affordable Connectivity Program in a highly compacted timeframe.  NTCA offered several suggestions for a seamless transition, and among those are the FCC keeping in place as many EBB rules as possible and adopting consumer consent provisions that limit operator burdens.
