(Nov 10) In reply comments filed with the FCC, NTCA continued to support efforts to enhance cybersecurity awareness among customers – such as labels which could encourage more rigorous security for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This approach enables rapid response to evolving technical and market conditions and encourages consensus-driven guidelines. NTCA cautioned against approaches that could result in the inclusion of voluntary standards in mandatory regulatory guidelines.
