NTCA Proposes Adding Additional Transparency to Proposed Broadcast Station Blackout Reporting Requirements

(February 26) In comments filed with the FCC, NTCA argued that proposed reporting requirements for commercial television station blackouts fail to collect sufficient information to be of value to the commission and public as to the root causes of the disruption.  If the commission is going to require blackout reporting, NTCA said, it should permit MVPDs to also disclose the circumstances surrounding the blackout.
