NTCA Proposes Solutions for Reducing Robocalls to PSAPs and in a Manner That Limits Providers’ Burdens

(Dec 16) In reply comments, NTCA opposed the creation of an “autodialer” registry that providers would consult as part of blocking calls to Public Safety Answering Points (“PSAPs”).  NTCA noted that the FCC’s proposal would fail to target the bad actor autodialers at issue here, and the association proposed alternative ways to protect PSAPs from unwanted calls and in a way that does not burden providers.
