(Sep 11) In response to a petition seeking to waive the engineering certification provisions of the FCC’s mapping rules, NTCA stressed again the need for safeguards against overstated coverage claims that the engineering certification represents. It further noted that parties arguing against this certification going forward are unpersuasive and fail to present any arguments that are supported beyond the barest of assertions.
