(Sept 15) In a petition filed with the FCC, NTCA requested amendments to the Enhanced ACAM Order and intended to ensure that broadband maps capture each of the elements of what constitutes an “unsubsidized competitor.” This is needed to avoid the denial of support and reliable broadband service for perhaps tens of thousands of rural Americans. The petition also seeks to better align the Order with the BEAD program timeline and address ongoing support needs for providers awarded broadband grants.
