Changes in NTCA Member Relations Division

By Shirley Bloomfield, CEO, NTCA-The Rural Broadband Association

In the midst of these unsettling times, we are here to support you in every way possible. This includes our fantastic member relations managers. This team has temporarily 'retired' their 'feet on the street' shoes, replacing them with virtual ones to stay connected and ready to assist you from their home offices across the country. And speaking of retirement, it is with mixed emotions that I announce Janet Cloyde, vice president of member relations, will keep her shoes 'retired.' Janet made her decision earlier this year, and many of you heard my announcement at RTIME about her upcoming retirement. Janet has served NTCA members for more than 11 years, and exemplifies our strong commitment to "every member, every time" service. Her passion for our industry, NTCA members and your employees has shined throughout her career. I know Janet's service to our North Carolina members and to our entire membership across the country will be missed.

As we celebrate with Janet and her retirement on April 3, this is also an opportunity to recognize the deep bench in our member relations division and announce additional changes in the team. Melanie Jore will be promoted to vice president of member relations effective April 1. As director of member relations, Melanie is experienced in strategic planning and management, and is ready to assume additional executive responsibilities. Please join me in congratulating Melanie! Jeff Yarbrough will serve members in North Carolina along with his current territory. Jeff is a familiar face and voice in the division, so members will be in good hands as we transition Janet's territory to Jeff. A few other changes are being made to realign the member relations service territories, so we continue to effectively serve you and your employees.

In addition, we are recruiting for an open MRM position. You can find more information about the position on the NTCA Job Center. Please share this job positing if you know someone who might be interested in learning more about our fantastic team and this opportunity. Thank you for your membership in the association and, on behalf of our entire team, we are proud to be your partner, supporting and serving you in all ways possible!
