April, 28, 2018, NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association was a proud partner in the first event in a series of listening sessions focused on ways the government and private industries can work together to tackle rural broadband challenges and the opportunities improved e-connectivity bring to the people and economies of the nation’s rural regions.

In Guymon, Okla., public spaces serve an important purpose. Residents of Guymon and surrounding areas need respite from the state’s sometimes harsh climate, and that’s why they come to parks.

This summer, greater access to fiber broadband is coming to Conway, S.C., and surrounding areas. Horry Telephone Cooperative, an NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association member company, announced recently that it will be retiring some of its copper-based infrastructure—used primarily for landline phones—and replacing it with fiber.
